Apollo is on fire: some hot numbers to keep you warm!Apollo has received more than 15,000 submissions this year including a range of materials from open access publications and research datasets to doctoral theses. In 2018, more than 15,000 DOIs were registered for repository outputs, of which more than 4,000 have links to research grants!
The OSC also runs a Request a Copy service to provide access to embargoed content in Apollo. So far in 2018, the service has managed more than 4627 requests, of which 2981 have been for theses, followed by 1525 for journal articles. And in case you were wondering, yes, all of these have been processed by hand! In 2019 we are planning to enhance our systems so that we can continue to provide access to Cambridge's research outputs - watch this space! And lastly, some repository usage statistics sourced from Jisc's great IRUS-UK service: more than 1.5 million downloads of repository content in 2018, of which 763,000 were Articles, 640,000 Theses, and 32,000 Datasets. ORCID summary statistics (i.e. the number of Apollo items with associated ORCIDs) will be available in 2019. And now, enjoy this nice visualisation of downloads by country! |
